Peel & Stick Wall Mural Install
Preparation
Before hanging your mural it's important to ensure you have a smooth, clean surface. So remove any defects, picture hooks, cover plates, etc. It's also important to note that if your wall has been recently painted to allow 4 weeks before sticking your mural to it.
Prepare to Stick
Starting with panel 1. Lay your mural on the floor face down, then from the top peel back a small amount of the backing sheet approximately 20cm then fold it down and crease.
First Panel Install
Starting from the left, stick the top of the panel to the wall, ensuring that the left hand edge aligns with your wall, and the top should have 5cm extra which your will trim off at the end. Once you are happy the panel is aligned correctly, carefully peel away the backing paper by pulling it down and gently apply the mural to the wall, working down toward the bottom of your panel. If you need to make any adjustments simply peel the panel from the wall and reapply.
Additional Panels
Apply the second and subsequent panels in the same fashion. Stick the top of the panel to the wall, ensuring that the left hand edge aligns with the previous panel. There will be a 2cm overlap where the 2 panels meet. Ensure the image is aligned correctly then peel away the backing paper and apply.
Trim
When all the panels are installed, carefully with a sharp knife trim the top, bottom and far right side of your mural. If you have any switches, carefully cut an X running from corner to corner of the switch. Apply the mural in to the edges of the switch, then trim around the edge and put your cover plate back on if you have one.
